What is TX ACE?
- Texas After School Centers on Education (ACE)administered by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), a structured, safe, and supervised place for learning and social interaction. It is federally funded by 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC).
- ACE provides extended learning opportunities for children and their families and offers innovative, hands-on activities that reinforce and complement students' regular academic programs. These before and after school activities are based on research and best practices and include academic enrichment, challenging curriculum and tutorial services.
- ACE strives to increase promotion and graduation rates and helps students prepare for college and the workplace.

Our RMS teachers help our students improve in their academic courses such as History, English and Math.
- Ms. Bravo teaches English during the daytime, and ESL in the ACE Program.
- Ms. Bosse teaches Math during the day, and Green Team in the ACE Program.
- Ms. Valero teaches interactive English in the ACE Program.
Hello! I am Rosa Chavez, the Site Coordinator of the 21st Century / TX ACE Before and After School Program at Riverside Middle School. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Business management at the University of Texas at El Paso. I have worked in the education field the past nine years. I am passionate about helping my community improve their quality of life through various innovative learning experiences that will make them competitive in our global economy.

Our staff is comprised of College students that mentor our students in our program and work closely with them to help them with academic and enrichment activities. Our college students have various academic and enrichment strengths that they share with our students varying from Language Arts, History, Math, Science, Technology, Fine Arts, Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball.
